About This Room
Step into a film noir mystery where shadows hold secrets and nothing is as it seems. The detective's office is a time capsule of 1940s hardboiled aesthetic—venetian blinds casting striped shadows, a ceiling fan slowly turning, and jazz playing softly from an old radio. As fellow investigators, you must piece together not just evidence, but motive, opportunity, and hidden connections between suspects. Every photograph, newspaper clipping, and scribbled note could be the key to uncovering both the killer's identity and your missing colleague's fate in this atmospheric whodunit.
The Story
Matti Virtanen wasn't just Helsinki's finest private eye—he was a man who made powerful enemies by uncovering secrets they'd kill to protect. His investigation into industrialist Viktor Korhonen's murder led him through a web of corruption involving blackmail, forbidden affairs, and corporate espionage. Each suspect has both motive and opportunity: the jealous wife, the embezzling business partner, the spurned lover, and the vengeful rival. Virtanen's office is exactly as he left it—a tumbler of whiskey half-drunk, cigarette still smoldering, and case files arranged in a pattern only another detective would recognize as a final message, should he never return.
